SPSS Introductory Course

Everything You Need To Get Started and Prepare for Analysis

A Message From The Instructor

Course Summary

Who this course is for:

    • Doctoral students who are in the process of their dissertation project.
    • Graduate and undergraduate students who are conducting their own independent data analysis.
    • Undergraduate students who are taking their first statistics courses.
    • Early career researchers seeking to expand their data analysis skills.
    • Anyone else with a desire to learn about statistical analysis.

If you are new to SPSS, the early modules will be a great learning resource as you learn the basics such as how to get a free trial of SPSS, how to properly import your data from an Excel file, how set up your complete variable information, and organizing a winning data file to eliminate a lot of wasted time later.

If you are somewhat familiar with SPSS but don’t have a lot of experience, this course will guide you through the most important aspects of learning the basic operations of SPSS including importing/exporting your data, setting up your variables, and navigating the Ribbon Bar and many of the Menu operations.

If you have been familiar with SPSS for some time, the course will give you the benefit of having lifetime access that you can return to months or years later as a refresher. Have you ever learned information that you needed to know for just a short time and then forgotten much of it? When you purchase this course, you will never need to hunt down your old colleagues for help or to relearn the basic functions of the statistical program.

Dr. Todd Bottom

My mission is to save you days and weeks of wasted time trying to navigate the complexities of academia and academic research.

By academic training I am a Community Psychologist, earning my Ph.D. from DePaul University in Chicago in 2014.  I published several peer-reviewed research articles during my doctoral studies, and one even before beginning graduate school.

I have worked in research and academics since 2007 and taught university psychology and statistics courses at DePaul University for three years.  More recently I worked in college institutional research and for a pharma research consulting firm.  In 2018 I founded Research Learning Center, where I offer my knowledge and skills to help people just like you to produce better research and writing so that they can graduate sooner.

As of January 2021 my students include over 2,000 ambitious learners just like you from over 100 countries who speak 28 native languages.  I am thrilled to offer you these high-quality courses and look forward to having you as a student and being part of your research success.  Have questions before you get started?  Email me at todd@ResearchLearning.Center.

I have tried learning SPSS for awhile now, each time I drop out of the program because the language used was complex. This is different. The explanation is very straight forward and simple. Thank you Sir.

I am really impressed from this worthy presentation. I love like this presentation. This course is more knowledgeable and fruitful for my PhD research work that it has build my confident in data analysis by choosing proper statistical test in an appropriate manner. Thank you so much Todd L. Bottom.
